Pearson airport voted worst in Canada

Toronto's Pearson International Airport is the country's worst airport, according to a new consumer poll.

Flightnetwork.com polled nearly 800 Canadians about their least-favourite airports. And while Montreal's Trudeau airport and Winnipeg's international airport placed high on the list, Pearson topped them all to be named Canada's most-hated airport.

"Canadians tend to have the most negative experiences at the airports that they spend the most time in," said Naman Budhdeo, CEO of Flightnetwork.com.

"It makes sense that Pearson would have the highest vote for worst airport based on the fact that it is Canada's busiest airport."

Airports in Halifax, Vancouver and Victoria are the "least-hated" airports in Canada.

Respondents said the factors that influenced their vote included service, slow security checks, food availability and comfort of lounge seats.
